As the principal of Dieter-Forte-School I warmly welcome you here in Düsseldorf at Dieter-Forte-School! This is a very special day for us and it is a great honour for us that you will be our guests at our 51st school anniversary. Unfortunatley we did not have the opportunity to celebrate our 50th anniversary for Corona reasons. We will do everything to make you feel at home and as the principal of this school I personally feel responsible for your well-being and kindly ask you to contact me whenever you feel anything can be done to make you feel more comfortable.

I have to thank my dear colleague Sebastian Kutzer for the great job he has done preparing this encounter – he has again done everything to make it a great experience for all of us. Thank you so much!I am really proud to be the principal of a school which is twinned with Bright-Future-School and want you to know that I will always do everything I can to keep up and even strengthen the links between our two schools. We will do our very best to support your commitment and can assure you that Dieter-Forte-School will stay by your side. We will continue the partnership that Margret Rössler initiated in 2009. I thank her a lot for that wise decision which gives our school community the chance of experiencing the culture and nature of your great country and of meeting wonderful people. This way our school community can feel and experience what we mean by “one world”: It is good that we come together in Nepal and in Germany to experience that we share the same values, that a bright future for everyone is based on global understanding and cooperation. This has become an important aspect of our education at Dieter-Forte-School and I am thankful that our partnership gives our students and teachers the chance of personal encounters.

I very much hope that we will have the chance to visit you again in the near future. I of course hope that groups of your school will have the possibility to visit us here in Düsseldorf again and again – you are always cordially invited. We will be by your side whenever you need us. Do not hesitate to contact us if you feel our support could be helpful – that is what friends are for!

I am looking forward to introducing you to the other guests at the ceremonial act on Friday and I am proud of having the opportunity to do that. I wish you personally, all your students and teachers, your school a bright future and all of you a great time with us here in Düsseldorf.
